RE ROOF OVER EXISTING FAILED ACRYLIC/FIBREGLASS MEMBRANE
Fit a .55 Zincalume 75 mmx 75 mm right angle turndown flashing to gutter edges where required and nail to plywood at 150mm centres with 25mm Galv., Clout nails.
Carefully remove the bottom tier of concrete roofing tiles.
Sand off Acrylic Fibreglass and excess fibreglass sticking out of existing coating.
Sweep clean roof areas and apply one coat of Index Bitumen primer to all prepared surfaces and to Zincalume drip flashing and allow to dry.
Cut out Acylric Fibreglass "ridging" in a V shape, lay 100 mm wide Index Rollbase membrane strips over the plywood joints, stagger nail one side only at approx 100mm centres with 19mm large Head Galv., Clout nails.
Apply by Torchon method, Index Nova 4mm Grey Mineral finished membrane, fully bonded to the primed roof deck surfaces with 80mm side overlaps.
Form above down over metal drip flashings.
Dress Index Nova Grey Mineral Membrane up under tiles as required.
Dress membrane to vertical sides of “box” on Lower Back Roof.
Reinstate the concrete tiles where applicable.
