CertainTeed Moire Black Asphalt Shingle Roof
Strip existing Hardies Slate Tiles.
Fit new 12mm H3 treated plywood substrate to roof framing. Protect interior with waterproof  tarpaulins when necessary.
Fit 0.9mm aluminium edge flashing to cover edge of plywood sheets at barge ends.
To new plywood substrate on steep levels lay Roofers' Select™ #15 asphalt saturated felt underlay, laid parallel to the eaves and overlapping 50mm, and on low slope levels lay ProofexS self adhesive waterproofing membrane underlay.
Apply CertainTeed CT20 Moire Black Shingles as per manufacturers instructions and to best trade practice, with high wind specification 6 clout nails per shingle and each tab sealed down with asphalt cement adhesive.
Re-use existing rubber wall flashings bedded in adhesive and cover with shingles.
Form ridges.
