PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Supply and apply waterproof tanking membranes to the vertical retaining walls and flat roof of the concrete block structure forming the rear of the building, including primers and chasing into block wall at top of parapet and skylight upstands, to a standard  to withstand complete burial as a rooftop garden area.
Supply and apply CertainTeed CT20  Weatheredwood Asphalt Shingles to the sloping plywood roof structure forming the front of the bulding, including copper drip flashings, underlayment and high wind specification nail fixings.

SPECIFICATIONS
Retaining Wall Waterproofing Membrane
Hitchins Formseal 3000X, which is a HDPE polythene sheet coated with a self adhesive bituminous compound 1.5mm thick applied to the concrete block wall primed with bitumen primer.
Joining to Underfloor DPC
Where the self adhesive membrane joins the polythene under floor DPC,  bond the lap of the under floor DPC onto the vertical sides of the concrete floor slab with Hitchins Kontabit double sided bituminous tape and then lap the Formseal sheeting down over with a minimum overlap of 200mm.
Concrete Roof Waterproofing Membrane
Hitchins Index Defend H specialist root resistant waterproofing membrane applied by torchon method, 4mm thick and reinforced with polyester,  applied to the roof primed with bitumen primer and 400mm high upstands with a 200mm minimum overlap turndown onto the wall membrane.

Asphalt Shingles
Underlayment to be heavy duty #15 asphalt saturated felt laid to 15mm T&G plywood substrate with 50mm overlaps.
CertainTeed 3 Tab CT20 Standard Fibreglass Asphalt Shingles applied to high wind area specification 6 nails per shingle with 2 spots of asphalt plastic cement per tab.
Pump House Roof
Hitchins Index Nova Mineral finished waterproofing membrane applied by torchon method, 4mm thick and reinforced with polyester,  applied to the plywood roof primed with bitumen primer and 100mm Welted Drip perimeter edges.

4 years later the roof is part of the farm landscape grazing horses keep the grass down
the top of the wall, the chimney and the air vents are all that can be seen from the south, west and north there is some staining of the shingles from iron in the artesian water used for irrigation
