40 year old BUR (Built Up Roof) Gravel roof is leaking and ponding water.
The BUR is fully bonded to the timber sarking and cannot be removed.
We installed a tapered timber frame and new plywood 15mm thick substrate and a 3 layer torchon membrane system with Green Mineral cap sheet and roof top breather vents.

the moss and lichen has been sprayed with moss killer and the tapered battens cut and placed loose closer view, waiting for the moss killer to activate
later the dwangs are fitted and the new sloped frame is ready for fixing and plywood the frame is screwed into the original deck and insulation is being placed
the new plywood substrate being fitted end of the day, plywood down and rolls loaded to the roof
next day, a heavy frost overnight closer view of the frost on the roof
the frost is scraped off and the deck dried out, laying of the underlayer begins towards the end of the day, laying the underlayer
underlay to the horizontal completed cutting the plywood for the inside of the parapets plywood fitted to the inside of the parapets, cap flashings removed and cap sealed with self adhesive membrane interrupted by rain
a few days later the weather clears and the cap sheet is being applied. An interply of perforated vent sheet is used  towards the end of the day laying the green mineral cap sheet
