the Charcoal Mineral torchon membrane being fitted RE ROOFING OF FAILED RUBBER MEMBRANE
Temporarily remove PVC guttering from bottom of iron roof.
Remove the nails from the iron roofing and prop sheets.
Strip off rubber sheeting.
Cut out decomposed chipboard to match purlins and dwangs and pack to recieve new 17mm H3 plywood fixed with 35mm SS CS Screws.
Prime repaired roof with bitumen primer and allow to dry.
Fit new coloursteel drip flashing at outside edge into gutter.
Apply self adhesive membrane reinforcing strip to upstands and dressed onto horizontal 100mm
Apply 4mm SBS Charcoal Mineral finished Torchon membrane to the primed surface.
Form new membrane up the internal upstand, dress over 1st purlin 200mm and form over new coloursteel flashing at gutter edge.
Reinstate the gutter brackets and PVC Guttering.
Refix the corrugated iron roofing with new Weathertite Roofing nails.


this crater is the result of a small nick in the rubber membrane breaking down the chipboard roof substrate this corner was also rotted out
the rotted areas replaced and rhe deck primed with bitumen primer a self adhesive membrane was used first to reduce the fire risk at the upstands when applying the torchon membrane
