TORCHON 2mm SBS TANKING MEMBRANE TO SWIMMING POOL

Note. The tanking in this situation is to protect the interior of the pool from ground water seepage, which is constant.

FLOOR

Loose lay Plasprufe SBS membrane to site slab and to floor perimeter boxing with 100mm laps and  a 200mm extra perimeter flap to be used for jointing to wall tanking. Pour concrete slab directly to Plasprufe membrane.

WALLS

Prime concrete walls with Bitumen Primer and allow to dry.

Clean off and dress 200mm flap from under floor up onto walls.

Apply Plasprufe SBS Tanking membrane to walls by  light flame torching,  hot trowel weld 100mm side laps.

Form 200mm overlap to underfloor tanking.

Form collars to inflow, outflow and lighting pipe penetrations.

PROTECTION

Lay 100mm polystyrene drainage board protection against tanking and backfill.
