TORCHON OVERLAY TO EXISTING FAILED ACRYLIC/ FIBREGLASS COATED PLYWOOD ROOF
Waterblast roof area, rooftop walls and perimeter nib edges to remove moss and dirt.
Cut out and remove existing membrane and plywood to area 2400mm wide by full width of roof at base of wall where water is ponding and substrate is rotting.
Cut and fit tapered firrings onto existing roof joists to create a fall away from the wall and towards the outlet on the north side.
Supply and cut to fit,fixing with 38mm Staniless steel screws, H3 treated 15mm CP Plywood sheathing to replace old substrate.
Fit a triangular fillet between plywood sheathing and vertical wall.
Prime whole roof area with Bitumen Primer.
Reinforce all internal corners with 3mm thick Proofex 3P strip, 200mm wide.
Apply by Torchon method, one layer of 4mm thick Proofex Torchseal. polymer modified polyester reinforced membrane to primed substrate, side laps 100mm.
Form to upstands, vertical walls and around metal flashing of skylight.
Fit H3 Radiata Pine PrePrimed 50x20mm batten to top outside edge of parapets.
Form a welted drip edge capping to perimeter parapet with Proofex 3P membrane.
On completion apply one coat of UV reflective Bituminous Aluminium Paint
