karaka bay boat shed, carrying a roll of torchon up the ladder while the tide is out
Strip off existing BUR asphalt gravel roof membrane and dispose to tip.
Inspect timber substrate and refix any loose or twisted boards.
Lay Ruberoid Britorch 3 underlay, spot bonded by torch and mechanically fixed at 200mm staggered centres with 19mm large head Galvanised clout nails.
Form Britorch 3 up and over top of small nibs and dress down one side.
Apply  2nd layer,  Ruberoid Britorch 4mm Blue/Grey Mineral membrane, fully bonded to the  underlay,  with joints offset from 1st layer
Form welted drip edge 3 sides with Britorch 4mm Blue/Grey Mineral membrane.
Work to be timed with low tide access.










the roof completed this picture was taken recently , 7 years after the roof was laid, still looking good.
